Realm Royale, the Paladins-inspired Battle Royale game from Hi-Rez Studios is now live on Steam Early Access and is free to download. What started as a Paladins game mode called Battlegrounds is now a full standalone game and one of the more high-profile titles to join the Battle Royale craze.
In Realm Royale, you get to pick from one of five classes (Warrior, Mage, Engineer, Assassin and Hunter), each one with its specifics. Playing as part of a squad comprised of four players (duos should be available right now as well), you and your team will fight to be the last squad standing from a total of 100 contestants. Naturally, you have to search for gear and abilities to be better prepared for the battle. You can also forge your weapons, from guns to staffs or swords. You won't have to make the whole journey on foot, however; you can summon your mount to ride into the next battle.
Realm Royale feels like a quality Battle Royale game, so we're glad that it exists in this recent but already over-saturated genre.
