It is now set in stone – Nexon has left the previous mid-January prediction and revealed that the side-scrolling action MOBA game Hyper Universe is going to officially launch on January 17, 2018, for PC, through Steam and the Nexon launcher. Gone will be the Early Access phase and this game will then be available for free to everyone.
The official launch brings the removal of random cubes and the cash shop will be for cosmetic items only, Nexon dixit. This milestone also comes with the release of the biggest Hyper Universe content update yet, which brings not one, not two, but SIX new Hypers, one for each class: Tae’guk, Sonya, Perseus, Han, Camilla and Gulunba. This means that there is a total of 41 Hypers by official launch date.
“Since releasing through Steam’s Early Access program this past August, the development team carefully reviewed all player feedback, implementing wide-ranging gameplay changes,” said Jungsoo Lee, General Manager of Nexon America. “We want to thank our passionate and dedicated community for their hard work to help shape the development of this game and we eagerly await their response when it goes live for everyone later this month.”
