According to Chinese website 17173.com, Lost Ark could be entering Korean closed beta in April 2016. This highly anticipated Diablo-like action MMORPG is developed by Smilegate, makers of the highly popular and profitable free-to-play shooter CrossFire.
This is just a rumor, and while we wait for some kind of official confirmation, we know that Lost Ark was in a small focus group test in August 2015 and that the first closed beta was planned for the first half of 2016, so there could be some truth to this rumor.
Besides Korea, Lost Ark is signed to China by Tencent, and there are plans for a western release after the Korean version is ‘solidified'. The business model for Lost Ark is still being considered.
