It looks like the distressing queue times to play Lost Ark since its open beta release in South Korea weren't enough to discourage most players. Currently the game is sitting in the third place of South Korea‘s most played, right behind League of Legends and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. Blizzard's Overwatch comes at number four.
Smilegate has been steadily adding more servers in order to cater to all players, but while this managed to decrease the queues to 3,000 or 4,000 players (from the previous 15,000 to 20,000), more servers are being planned.
This seems to be further proof of Smilegate's major plan of bringing back big PC MMORPGs. Lost Ark is shaping up to be a game for the long run, and if these queue issues are solved during the coming weeks, more and more players will probably try the game.
Lost Ark is coming to North America and Europe, as Smilegate's CEO has confirmed, but there is no official announcement yet. There is also some doubt looming over the China version, as Smilegate was going to make it the top priority after Korea, but with the China gaming ban this isn't quite clear anymore.
