Nexon's classic MMORPG MapleStory is still going strong despite having a sequel out there for a couple of years now (and with a western release very likely to happen), so much that a new crossover with the 2016 light novel anime series Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World has just been announced. Starting today and through June 7, players will help Emilia, the heroine of the anime series and an NPC in MapleStory, who has just been summoned to Maple World. You have to complete daily quests inspired by the anime and help understand this new world, while earning gift boxes and special titles. If you die, you have to start the quests from day one, so be careful.
The MapleStory X Re:ZERO crossover is also a great time to create a new character in Reboot world, a world introduced in the 2015 Reboot update that brings MapleStory back to its roots as a hardcore RPG with stronger enemies and grander rewards. Those who do so will get an exclusive totem themed after Emilia’s Insignia, millions of mesos and other useful items when reaching specific levels.
