MU Legend features discussed in anticipation of September’s open beta

MU Legend features

With the open beta coming this September, Webzen thought it would be a good time to remind us of the main MU Legend features. First of all, if you're a fan of the MU Online series, you should know that MU Legend is in fact a prequel. This means that you'll play at a time before Kundun's domination of the MU continent, with classic areas such as Litenberg and Noria, renewed events such as Blood Castle, and familiar pets and mounts – Fenrirs, Unirias and Tibettons. Wings were revamped and play a more important role, introducing a new enhancement system.

MU Legend is said to have a “gentle learning curve” and that rings true, based on our previous experience with the Korean version. It never felt like a huge grind playing with any of the four classes available during the open beta – Dark Lord, Blader, War Mage and Whisperer – and of course, there's a PvP mode as well, with different battlefields and an arena for you to try to win up to 10 times in a row in a 1-vs-1 battle against another player's AI character. Each class has an in-depth skill system to explore, with the help of the Crest and Artifact systems.

While MU Legend's current level cap is 65, your real challenge is reaching the max level of 500 for the Soul Level System. In the near future, the developers are planning to add guild wars with battles for territories, and 3v3 co-op battles.

These are just some of the MU Legend features revealed so far, and we should also note that the global open beta will include support for the following languages: English, French, German, Polish, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. MU Legend Korea is getting the Emphasizer class on August 10 and the sixth class, a female mage, was already teased a while ago.
