Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes is a new anime game from Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has just announced the new Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes game. This game is based on the Naruto and Boruto anime series and brings together characters from both franchises, spanning multiple generations.

This title features one-tap team-based battles and is in development for PC (browser version), iOS and Android devices. The “one-tap” bit is somewhat worrying, hinting at a lack of depth that anime fans will probably not enjoy.

The official website has a couple of anime trailers that show absolutely nothing of the game, but there is one screenshot giving you an idea of what to expect. This is a game that will probably be ages away from the promising anime MMORPG Naruto Slugfest, but let's wait and see.

“Set in the universe of the iconic NARUTO and BORUTO anime series, NARUTO x BORUTO NINJA TRIBES brings together fan-favorite characters spanning multiple generations of NARUTO lore, including Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura of the original Team 7 as well as BORUTO counterparts Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki for one-tap team-based battles.

In combat, players will be able to show the strength of shinobi bonds with overwhelming duo and trio attacks unique to each character combination from the new Team 7 teamwork and father-and-son Rasengan with the Seventh Hokage Naruto and Boruto, all rendered in high-quality 2D visuals that evoke the same sense of speed and impact originally envisioned by the anime series.”
