Tomorrow, May 30, may turn out to be an exciting day. Several rumors are pointing to the possibility of Activision and Infinity Ward revealing the mysterious new Call of Duty game, oddly titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
We've heard some rumors about this game and how it marks an important shift in the strategy for the series. In fact, it could even turn out to be the first free-to-play Call of Duty game from the main series – I'm not counting with the Asia-exclusive Call of Duty Online -, if some anonymous sources are to be believed.
YouTuber LongSensation seems to know what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is all about. He was the one to break the title to the world and he clearly knows more than that about the game, including the core gameplay. In fact, his tweets are proof that something huge is coming:
And I know “this title will revive Call of Duty” is said every year, but this title is so different on so many different levels. The core game, the DLC, eSports and even the overall business model of the game, everything will change. Stay tuned.

“Overall business model”? Wait, what? Could it be that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is free-to-play for real? Is Activision trying to pull a Fortnite Battle Royale or Apex Legends on us? Or maybe they have a new kind of business model in store for us?
Whatever it is, we are about to find out really soon. And to think that some people are saying that free-to-play is dead for over a couple of years now!
