We recently talked about the action combat MMORPG Oath and how it was doing fairly well on Kickstarter. Now that the campaign successfully ended with over $67,749 amassed, developer Ready-Up Studios is asking fans to continue their pledges on the official website, with a few thousand dollars already raised.
Oath was introduced as a colorful and cartoonish free-to-play MMORPG, but it was said that the characters and environments were placeholders and the new designs were being worked on. Some of the new artwork was just revealed and… well, I can tell you that the new design is much closer to real life than the previous one. It's like 90% reality and 10% cartoon, if you catch my drift. Take a look at the images below and let me know what you think.
Obviously, now we need to know how these renders will translate to the game. But they surely don't look like you regular Sunday morning cartoon anymore.
Oath's first couple of alpha tests are planned for late Q3 2019 or early Q4 2019.
