Phantasy Star Online 2's journey to the West is a troubled and deeply mysterious one, but there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel… whatever you make of that. The rumors that we reported last year about Phantasy Star Online 2 SEA release just came true and now we fear that the shadow of Western cancellation is even more haunting.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is now fully in English and coming to southeast Asia thanks to publisher Asiasoft. MMO Culture played a bit and gave its (positive) opinion on the game, which is planned to launch on 29th May 2014, but only accessible to players who live in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines. The site was pleased with the nearly flawless English localization, the awesome character customization and the combat, which is pretty good with a ranger class.
Now we only need the Western version, Sega!
