Sega has finally revealed the Phantasy Star Online 2 PC release date after a few months of teasing and mystery. Well, we should say years instead, but let's not be angry anymore because we're getting this anime MMORPG in North America roughly eight years after its Japanese launch. No, it's time for closure and for enjoying a game that still stands up as one of the best of its kind.
Phantasy Star Online 2 releases for PC in North America on May 27, 2020. There is no word on a European release for a while and it looks like things are staying that way for the time being. It's a sad state of affairs for players in the old continent, but this may turn out to be some sort of timed release. As for North American PC players, you need Windows 10 to run the game.
Phantasy Star Online 2 brings fully localized text and voices in English, and includes several years of content from the Japanese version. This should give you some sheer depth, alongside a host of quality-of-life improvements that make this release more enjoyable and comfortable than what happened during its original launch.
Cross-platform play is a reality in Phantasy Star Online 2, with PC and Xbox One players able to find and cooperate with one another.
In Phantasy Star Online 2, you can select your character from a roster of four races and nine classes. Besides engaging in epic adventuring and battling, you can take some time off to enjoy minigames in the casino.
The time to #JoinARKS is finally revealed. Phantasy Star Online 2, one of Japan's biggest online action RPGs, arrives on Windows 10 next week, on May 27th.
