Blacklight Retribution developer Zombie Studios just revealed their new free-to-play shooter, a PC exclusive scheduled for early 2014 on Steam. Phantom Army is a third-person shooter which uses cover mechanics and is developed in cooperation with Smilegate, makers of popular free online shooter Crossfire.
Phantom Army has a nice slightly cel-shaded art style that reminded us of a mix between Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield Heroes, except with more washed out colors, which contribute to the old comic book feel that it exhibits. Besides Phantom Army, Zombie Studios is currently working on the PS4 version of Blacklight Retribution as well as Daylight, a not free PS4 horror game.
