SOE just revealed the PlanetSide 2 release date, as recently teased. This free to play MMO shooter will launch November 20th, about a month earlier than the expected release date.
SOE’s president John Smedley also confirmed that PlanetSide 2 will launch with three continents – Indar, Esamir, and Amerish –, contrary to the initial idea that the game would launch with just two continents. There will be some benefits for a faction that fully dominates a continent, but no details were revealed.
Another change is the discarding of Auraxium, one of the resources in the game, after player feedback.
