The Ragnarok Online series is the gift that keeps on giving, with publisher Gravity Interactive obviously interested in the future of the series. Ragnarok Crusade: Midgard Chronicles is just one of several Ragnarok games in development, most of them for mobile devices and one running on HTML5.
However, we're mostly interested in Ragnarok Crusade: Midgard Chronicles. While Ragnarok Online 2 was widely considered a failure, this new PC MMORPG is taking another shot at the series. According to MMOCulture, the focus of the game is PvP, something that could be said about pretty much every other MMORPG out there – you start easily with PvE content, but a few hours later player versus player is all that matters.
The story seems to be set 100 years before the first Ragnarok Online, making it a prequel. These are times of fierce conflict between Rune Midgardz and the Republic of Schwaldzwald, and that sums up what we know about it so far.
