Dire news for fans of Battlerite and Battlerite Royale, the few of them that are still around. Stunlock Studios has confirmed that the future of both games isn't bright, as it is “scaling back on development.”
The current Battlerite and Battlerite Royale playerbases aren't healthy enough to justify continued development, with Battle Season 3 being the last that the developer has planned for the foreseeable future. Development on the Tournament System will be halted as Stunlock isn't able to bring it to fruition.
Future plans for Battlerite and Battlerite Royale will be announced soon, although these will surely imply a server closure. For now, Stunlock promises to look at what worked and what didn't with these games and use those lessons for its next game.
Let's hope it's not an Auto Chess game, right?
