The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game is a new narrative-based game for PC

Please welcome a new contestant to the crowded but still very desirable TCG genre: The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game.

The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game is in development for PC and with a free-to-play official release planned for 2018. The first title from new studio Fantasy Flight Interactive, it is based on the tabletop game The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.

Instead of focusing all efforts on the usual competitive side of things, in this game the developers decided to focus on a story-based single-player adventure through Middle-Earth. You will choose a set of three heroes, build a deck with thirty cards and enter a campaign where you'll fight the legions of Sauron. You can find new cards along the way and the full release is going to include a two-player cooperative mode.

The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game is going to enter Early Access in Q1 2018, with three tiers of Founder’s Packs, and stays like that for about 3 to 5 months. The Steam page is already available.
