Tiger Knight: Empire War heads into the sunset for good

Tiger Knight relaunch

Tiger Knight: Empire War is shutting down. One of the most original games in the free-to-play market, it is going to sunset tomorrow, January 10, 2018.

The closure announcement has a few weeks already, dating from December 21, and the developers aren't citing a small player base as the reason for this. In fact, publisher Oasis Games says that the developers have worked tirelessly, but “didn’t always get things right”. They add that “in recent times it has become impossible for our team to provide timely and quality updates to both versions of the game. We have felt your frustration, and it is with immense regret that we take the difficult step of announcing the closure of Tiger Knight on Steam. To our passionate players, we share your heartbreak. This is not a message we ever wanted to deliver.”

There is some word that the Tiger Knight: Empire War developer, NetDragon, may pick up the game and publish it themselves, but you should wait for an official confirmation.

Tiger Knight: Empire War tried to mix large-scale Dynasty Warriors-like combat with strategy, and had some quality to it. Sadly, it was not enough to keep it going. For now?
