Riot Games has announced the Valorant closed beta sign up and starting date. The eagerly anticipated first-person shooter was revealed next year and is bound to become the third big game from the makers of League of Legends, following on the heels of the CCG Legends of Runeterra. Currently in development for PC, a Valorant console release isn't in the cards but it shouldn't be entirely excluded.
The Valorant closed beta release date is set for April 7, 2020, with no closing date revealed as of now. The first wave of players is going to start playing come April 7, but other waves of invites will be sent as the game development progresses. For now, the closed beta test is limited to players in Europe, Canada, United States, Turkey, Russia and CIS countries, with more regions following as possible.

Signing up for the closed beta of the 5v5 shooter involves creating a Riot account and linking it to Twitch. When you're done, watch a Valorant stream on Twitch starting April 7 and you may be lucky enough to get a closed beta key. Your Valorant closed beta progress won't carry over to launch, a logical decision as to keep everyone on an even footing when the game releases.
Riot isn't exactly sure on how long the Valorant closed beta is going to last. However, the studio is still aiming for a summer 2020 launch, but is planning to keep the beta short, while adding more regions to the test.
You can purchase Valorant Points during the beta, as Riot promises that you're going to get them all back at launch and more. A 20% bonus is waiting for players who are willing to support Valorant with their wallets right off the bat.
The Valorant closed beta sign up is available through Riot's website.
