My.com has just announced that its free-to-play military shooter Warface, originally developed by Crytek, is going to be available on consoles later this year. PlayStation 4 players will get to try it in August 2018, while Xbox One players have to wait one more month as this version will be playable in September 2018 – both of these dates are for Early Access. A Xbox 360 version was available a few years ago but it was closed early 2015.
Sporting a decent player base on PC, Warface will appear on consoles with a vast collection of competitive game modes, as well as cooperative and narrative-driven missions. Some of the competitive missions are Plant the Bomb, Battle Royale (of course), Storm and Destruction. Free content updates are planned after the release.
