HoYoverse has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming anime action game Zenless Zone Zero. The makers of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail officially unveiled this game not too long ago and, in a surprising twist, the closed beta sign-ups are already open. You may check the official website and try your luck at getting a spot in the closed beta.
Zenless Zone Zero follows on HoYoverse's motto of delivering high-quality anime franchises, mostly games but not restricted to this. This time we have a futuristic art style and an adventure set in a post-apocalyptic metropolitan city. Players will become a “proxy” and meet/control various characters to face the unknown enemies and protect New Eridu, the last shelter for humanity.
Featuring a cinematic action-oriented combat system that fans of Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact will surely appreciate, Zenless Zone Zero also teases a hint of roguelike gameplay that is yet to be fully unveiled. There was no actual mention to the open world aspect which was referred to in previous communications about the game, before this public reveal, but we're convinced this is the “open world futuristic shooter” that HoYoverse has in the works.
Check the Zenless Zone Zero reveal trailer, which includes some gameplay footage, albeit in a cinematic way.
