Blade & Soul Vengeance Breaks update coming in June
Blade and Soul is doing pretty well in the west and the updates are coming thick and fast. There’s one more planned for June. Vengeance Breaks is the new update coming June 1 and features a face off against Jinsoyun in the new Altar of Divine Will heroic dungeon. There’s also part 2 of Silverfrost Mountains which brings the Act 4 story arc to a conclusion, and there are also two more new dungeons: Sundered Nexus, and 24-member open world Zaiwei Ruins. Finally, there’s the single-player challenge of the Tower of Infinity, and pets! Pets follow you around and provide a defensive buff when fed, so don’t be shy on the snacks.
TERA Secrets & Shadows update is now live
The much awaited new expansion Secrets & Shadows for TERA is available for a few days now. Among other things, it adds the ninja class and flying mounts. The brand new ninja class is an Elin exclusive and the flying mounts are limited to a couple of freefly zones, but this will probably expand in the future. The expansion also brings new dungeons and the conclusion of the story arc that began in the Fate of Arun expansion. We still have a TERA giveaway running, so go get your gift pack right away. In another news, TERA could be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, judging by a posting on a jobs board in South Korea by developer Bluehole Studio.
MOBA and persistent MMO meet in Crush Online, sign-ups open
Crush Online came out of nowhere and looks pretty interesting. This is a sort of MOBA and persistent MMO that tries something new. Developed by JoyImpact, makers of Aika Online, Crush Online pits three factions in a war where players fight for territory control while having to defend their castles. You can choose your avatar and customize it with different weapon setups. Crush Online is coming to Europe this summer and while there’s no word on a North American release, it could eventually happen.
Monster Hunter Online English patch coming May 30
We’re not getting Monster Hunter Online in the west, but we’re getting an English patch really soon, so it’s not all bad. Do you remember how Tencent was open to the idea of a Monster Hunter Online English patch? Well, that patch is in the works for some time now by Team Hunter’s Destiny and while this isn’t the only patch, the team is hard at work to make it top quality. The beta patch is planned to go live on May 30, so if you’ve been waiting for this to try out Monster Hunter Online, then the wait is almost over! As you may recall, Monster Hunter Online is a China exclusive MMORPG and while Tencent isn’t taking it to other regions, at least they were cool about not IP-blocking the game and letting fans work on an English translation.
Skyforge’s Cybernetic Alliance update coming in June, OST released
Skyforge is about to get another update named Cybernetic Alliance – get ready to take a robotic companion in your adventures. The Reapers’ Revenge update went live less than a month ago and the Cybernetic Alliance update already has a release planned for June 1. This update adds robotic companions which will help players during combat. The Cybernetic Alliance will mark the first appearance of the Gorgonide Avatar, brings some equipment refinement and class balance as well as additional D-Series Distortions.
Energy Heroes is a F2P TPS MOBA entering early access in June
Energy Heroes is an upcoming free-to-play third-person shooter with MOBA mechanics coming from a French studio. Running on the Unreal Engine, Energy Heroes enters Early Access on June 1st. Players get to choose from three different races (Humans, Nelmas and Jorvaks) and four classes (Assault, Protector, Auxiliary and Infiltrator), picking between the 10 characters currently available. The environment mixes sci-fi with cartoon and the result is something like Portal and Borderlands had a baby.
‘Find the Game’ Quiz
Girls and robots – such is the highly complex concept of the game that you have to guess in this episode. It’s a fairly recent game and it has this anime style with plenty of sex appeal if you like that sort of thing. There’s also guns and stuff, of course. . Most Wanted: Riders of Icarus
Riders of Icarus is getting closer to the July 6 open beta, but there’s a third and final closed beta coming soon. Nexon and WeMade Entertainment’s MMORPG Riders of Icarus has its final closed beta on June 2 and running through Tuesday, June 7. This closed beta will accept players from Western Europe, North America, Oceania and Latin America and introduces new gameplay updates and enhancements. Riders of Icarus is shaping up to be one fine game, with a concept similar to Dragomon Hunter or Dragon’s Prophet, but looking like the best of those games.
In another note, the original Korean version just added a new class, the Idol from the new race Shiring, which incidentally is a loli character that the game still didn’t have. After all, sporting a wand and a fluffy bear, we have no doubts about what she truly represents.
