News:
Sword Art Online MMORPG is a thing and you can play it now, but…
There’s a Sword Art Online MMO game out there, guys! Hold on, hold on… it’s one of THOSE games… yeah, you probably know what that means, right? SAO’s Legend is the name of this MMORPG inspired by the popular Sword Art Online anime, but sadly it is one more of those free browser games with Battle Power, auto-battle, auto-pathing and tons of flashing “buy this crap now” icons. This is pretty much a SAO skin on top of your usual League of Angels kind of game, but hey, if you’re desperate to see your favorite anime characters, then by all means give it a try, we won’t stop you.
Revelation is F2P in Russia, probably in NA and EU
Revelation Online is coming to North America and Europe but we still don’t know if it’s going to be free or not. Let’s investigate! A recent interview concerning the Russian version revealed that this one is going to be free-to-play. The publisher in this region is Mail.Ru. Now, the western version is published by My.com and the funny thing is that the latter is a subsidiary of the former. So ultimately it’s the same company publishing Revelation and we’re hard pressed to think that North America and Europe will get the same business model. Sure, things can change, but let’s hope they don’t pull a Black Desert on us.
Delia and her Bastard Sword are coming to Vindictus
We haven’t talked about Vindictus for quite a while, so what’s going on with that game? A new character called Delia, that’s what’s going on. Delia is coming to Vindictus on July 14 and she wields a two-handed Bastard Sword, a pretty badass and heavy blade. Oddly enough, one of her spells makes her stronger and faster but apparently it also sheds part of her armor in the process. That’s another way to get some eye-candy, I guess.
Action RPG HeroWarz is now in open beta
After a short second closed beta, HeroWarz has recently made the jump to open beta, so give it a try. That is, if you’re in one of the serviced areas, otherwise you’re out of the fun. The developers promise that more regions will be accepted as development progresses, so don’t lose hope. Later down the line more characters and content will be added to HeroWarz, so if you’re looking for a Diablo-like action RPG with a cool anime style, this is your game.
TERA’s Aces Wild update release date revealed
TERA is about to get another major content update this month, and it’s called Aces Wild. Just a couple of months after the Secrets & Shadows expansion that brought us the ninja class, the Aces Wild update releases July 7. This update brings new dungeons, expanded flight zones and the crazy Kumas Royale battleground, where everyone is a kuma and the two teams fight to defeat the enemy’s boss in 10v10 battles.
ArcheAge’s update 3.0 gets several new trailers
ArcheAge Korea is getting the update 3.0 this month and it’s a huge one, with two new races and more. In theory, this update will be called Orchidna’s Hatred when it launches in North America, probably late 2016, and it brings the new races Warborn and Dwarven, each one with its own new starter zone, Scorching Wilderness and Bronze Rocky Mountain. The character creation is also improved and it looks pretty good – you can even create your Avatar Na’vi clone if you want to.
‘Find the Game’ Quiz
The martial arts MMOs aren’t just all Blade & Soul, Revelation or Moonlight Blade. There were others that came before. Let’s just say that this game’s name has something to do with a person holding some kind of weapon. And no, it’s not ShurikenDude or KatanaBro. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.
Most Wanted: Twin Saga
Twin Saga won’t set the world on fire, but we’ll be damned if this isn’t another nice game from the makers of Aura Kingdom. Sure, we can accuse them of sticking to the same anime style through all of their games, but at least they try to get some nice touches here and there. For example, the Terracottage, which is the mobile housing system in Twin Saga, sounds pretty cool. You’ll get to take your house with you wherever you go and you can work on six professions there, besides having your friends around and getting quests from some NPCs.
Twin Saga enters beta later this year and is one of two MMOs that Aeria Games is bringing to the west, the other being Bless Online.
