Kritika Online coming to North America and Europe in 2017
It’s about time! The stylish action MMORPG Kritika Online is finally coming to North America and Europe beginning in Q2 of this year. And the publisher is… En Masse Entertainment, the one responsible for TERA, for example. Kritika Online will closed beta testing this spring before fully releasing later this year. Kritika Online is an action game with shared hubs and instanced zones including big bosses, but featuring a cel-shaded art style and anime characters as well as a fast-paced combo system. You can choose from four different character classes and there’s also a PvP mode. Details about the beta and launch plans will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Revelation Online open beta and early access dates announced
It’s finally out there, the date that many of you were expecting. Revelation Online is going to enter open beta on March 6. After three closed betas, the western open beta begins soon, with Early Access starting on February 27, for those who purchased a founder’s pack. While in an initial phase Revelation Online will only be available in English, later during the open beta French and German languages will also be part of the game. Are you excited for Revelation Online or you’re not believing the hype?
Closers Online is on its way to North America
The awesome anime brawler Closers Online is definitely coming to North America and Europe this year. Well, it’s not officially confirmed, but we’re betting on it. We believe it is happening because of the story surrounding CODE: Closers, a private English server for Closers Online, as reported by MMOs.com. Naddic Games, Closers Online developer, reacted to this news by expressing some legitimate concerns about players being led into thinking it was an official server, while at the same time confirming that they are working to get the game launched in North America and this private server could impact their official launch. If this isn’t proof that Closers Online is in the process of coming to the west, then we don’t know what else could be. Of course, now we have to sit and wait for an official announcement.
Path of Exile: Fall of Oriath expansion adds six new acts
Path of Exile is getting a new update and boy, this one is going to be huge. The Fall of Oriath will change how you’ve played Path of Exile until now. The Fall of Oriath will add plenty of new content and most of all six new acts but also the removal of the Cruel and Merciless difficulty, turning the Path of Exile campaign into a one ten-act playthrough. Previously, to reach the Path of Exile endgame you had to finish the four first Acts in three different difficulties, but with the new update the campaign will be a much more straightforward, less repetitive affair. This expansion launches in June or July 2017.
Gigantic Eternal Dawn update is live and stars new hero Zandora
Eternal Dawn, the new Gigantic update for Windows 10 and Xbox One was released and added a new hero to the game, Zandora. Zandora. She is a lance-wielding Eternal and a melee/support hybrid who uses auras to empower herself and allies on the battlefield. Zandora brings the current roster’s total to 18, with Motiga planning on unleashing new heroes every six weeks. The Eternal Dawn update also introduces a competitive leaderboard, 18 Eternal Light weapon skins, the new creature Storm Drake, and during March will we’ll see some additional new skins.
Paragon is running a Shinbi selfie contest with cool prizes
Shinbi is Paragon’s latest hero and Epic Games has just started a contest based on this cute and colourful popstar. You can be one of the 10 lucky winners of a NVIDIA GTX 1080 Graphics Card if you convince the judges that your work is one of the best. You have until March 3 to send your best Shinbi selfies (Artwork, High-Res Screenshots or Animated Gifs), with the winners being judged based on creativity, quality and Shinbi-ness (which translates to how well you’ve captured Shinbi’s bubbly personality). K-Pop fans will surely feel at home with this contest, and we can’t wait ourselves to see the 10 winning selfies. For more info, check Paragon’s official website.
‘Find the Game’ Quiz
If you know your sci-fi MMOs, you should be really close to finding out which game we’re going to talk about. This game launched recently and it’s based on the novels of a popular author. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.
Most Wanted: League of Maidens
We’ll certainly get some flak for this, but we’re somewhat excited about League of Maidens. In case you don’t know, it’s like a mix of Dragon Ball with superhero girls, but there’s not much clothing going on. Before some of you decide to go headfirst into criticism, we have to share with you a fun fact: League of Maidens is pretty much the work of two guys. Considering the chaotic action and interesting list of features for this game, it’s quite a feat in our book. This is a 3D arena brawler with plenty of flying and superpowers and destruction, including grabbing your rival and smashing into buildings. If you’re still unsure if you’ll try this game simply because it exclusively features sexy female characters, then for the sake of coherence let’s hope you never played any Tomb Raider game before.
