News:

TERA welcomes the Gunner class
TERA players now have a new class to choose from: the Gunner. This female class is fast-moving and carries a huge, badass weapon. The Gunner class was teased for a few months now and is known in the original Korean version as the Arcane Engineer. Gunners are fast-moving, high-DPS, ranged characters and you can play this class from the very beginning of TERA. To celebrate the release, En Masse even offered some items. TERA has over 17 million registered users and the next couple of months should bring more updates, mostly new dungeons.

Echo of Soul is now in closed beta
The highly anticipated MMORPG Echo of Soul is finally in its first beta. Players who were lucky to get a key are already enjoying this game – are you one of them? Echo of Soul is a polarizing game, being loved by some and hated by others. While polished and addictive, it’s also generic and visually dated. It’s still one of the most appreciated MMOs in Asia and Aeria Games is surely getting it out there, trying to captivate a faithful amount of players. If you have already tried it, what do you think of Echo of Soul?

MapleStory 2 Korean open beta scheduled for July 2015
The MapleStory 2 Korean open beta is coming in July, Nexon has announced. The final beta ended recently and everyone seems to be happy about it. MapleStory 2 is getting a lot of positive feedback from players, so it seems that the risk of taking this sequel to unusual isometric and cubic territory is actually paying off. The game is as cute as they come and character customization is truly in-depth – you can even create outfits, which means that we’re likely to see many creations based on popular anime, movie and videogame characters. Also some of truly bad taste, we don’t doubt it. While Nexon has already mentioned a MapleStory 2 worldwide release in one of its first press releases about a year ago, we haven’t heard anything else concerning a global launch. We have faith though; it would be a massive mistake not to launch this game in western territories.

Sci-fi shooter Warside enters early access
Sci-fi side-scrolling shooter Warside recently launched on Steam Early Access and this is one hell of an addictive game, a nice change of pace from the usual MMO grinders. We have been following this shooter for a while since we discovered the original Russian version, and Kraken Games have finally concluded the English translation. You can download the game on Steam or on the official website. You can expect hundreds of weapons, both current and futuristic, as well as character customization, several PvP modes and PvE missions. We’ll have a first look on this game soon.

‘Find the Game’ Quiz

This episode’s quiz is a MOBA… yeah, we’ll stop right here because we can already see you flinch and cower into a corner. But bear with us; we have to give you some hints or it won’t be a quiz at all. This MOBA recently launched after many months in early access, and is from a studio usually know for its galactic ventures.  The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.

Most Wanted: Astral Realm

Astral Realm was recently announced and while X-Legend is becoming a bit too regular with its release schedule, there’s still something oddly appealing about this game. While we can see traces of its previous game, Dragon Slayer, Astral Realm is actually described as the lovechild of Aura Kingdom and Eden Eternal. It’s cute, even more chibi than before, but it’s also generic, with tab-target combat and the usual mechanics, although being able to switch between the nine classes anytime is a nice touch.

Astral Realm is probably going to be well received in Japan, where the X-Legend games are usually appreciated, and while we would definitely give this a shot, it’s not certain that it will launch in the west.
