News:

Epic Games reveals online shooter Paragon
If you’re still looking for your online shooter, then you should keep an eye out for Paragon, the upcoming PC exclusive from Epic Games. We already know about the upcoming shooters Overwatch (a buy-to-play game), CliffyB’s LawBreakers, and Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins: Champions of the Realm, but now Epic Games has revealed a second shooter in the works besides Unreal Tournament, titled Paragon. So, Paragon is coming to PC early 2016 and the studio will gradually reveal some of the characters, beginning with Twinblast, the cool dude that you can see in the trailer. The official website is already accepting beta application and teasing more hero reveals. The heroes have cool alias that are certain to impress all of us, poor regular folks with common names: Steel, Sparrow, Dekker and Grux are the next in line to be revealed. Free-to-play or not, we don’t know yet, but it looks like the big reveal is planned for December.

Brawler class is coming to TERA in December 2015
A new class is coming to TERA North America and it was finally revealed recently in a new trailer: it’s the Brawler. We already knew this for quite some time, but now it’s official – The Brawler is coming with the December update, aptly titled Knockout, along with two new dungeons, the pirate-themed Kalivan’s Dreadnaught, and the haunted Forsaken Island. It also brings new endgame armor: the tier 8 Dreadnaught set and the tier 9 Starfall set. The Brawler is a human female class that starts at level 1 and she is gender-locked – we know that plenty of you don’t like this thing, but maybe the next class will be for both genders. We’ll see.

Borderlands Online canceled, 2K China closing
A few months ago, many of you were probably angry that you couldn’t play the upcoming China-exclusive MMO Borderlands Online. Well, we have news on that. Borderlands Online has been canceled. Yep, that’s it – no one is going to play this game anymore, be it in China, North America or Europe. Now more seriously, this is bad news for everyone involved, as Take-Two Interactive is closing its 2K China studio, based in Shanghai, which had 150 members of staff. Apparently the time it takes to finish Borderlands Online would not yield a favorable return on investment, as the studio has declared in an official statement. So this is it for the first MMO experiment with the Borderlands franchise, but who knows if Take Two will get back to it – maybe a Borderlands 3 will turn out to be a proper, fully-fledged MMORPG.

Dofus and Wakfu makers release Krosmaster Arena
Ankama, the French studio that created Dofus and Wakfu, has a new game out there, and it’s inspired by these MMOs. Krosmaster Arena is a cute anime-styled figurine battler that was as a physical board game at first and is now an online board game where you can collect over 100 figurines and use them in battle. The game is live since November 5 and is free for everyone to play.

‘Find the Game’ Quiz

This episode’s quiz is about an upcoming card game based on a popular franchise. It’s one more that will follow the recent trend of online collectible card games, and it has a huge name behind it, but we’ll see really soon if that’s enough for success. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.

Most Wanted: Escape From Tarkov

The Russians definitely like their survival shooters. Escape From Tarkov is an upcoming MMO apparently inspired by the gritty look of the STALKER series.

Escape From Tarkov is an upcoming MMO third-person and first-person shooter with RPG elements that seems to draw inspiration from both the STALKER series and the upcoming Ubisoft game The Division. The game takes place in the Russian city of Tarkov, with two private military companies in conflict. The gameplay is allegedly hardcore and players will have to survive the enemy attacks as well as the deadly hazards of the city, including radiation poisoning, as well as natural conditions such as exhaustion and illness.

The closed beta is planned for Q1 2016 and the gameplay reveal scheduled for November 24, so keep your eyes on this one. There’s no word on the business model yet.
